

Constance Louise Viterisi, 97, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully June 11, 2025, just two weeks shy of her 98th birthday, with her family both physically and spiritually present. She was born on June 25, 1927, in Herrin, IL, the eldest of three children of Paul and Julia Russo. She met and married the love of her life, Domenick Viterisi, in 1952. Connie and Domenick raised four children in Fort Wayne, where she resided until 2018, when she moved to Bloomington, IN.
During her time in Ft. Wayne, Connie was an active member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was a devout Catholic. After working as a homemaker and raising four children, she worked for Walker Research as a customer survey representative.
Connie loved to travel and until Domenick’s death, they traveled to various vacation destinations and regularly to visit family. Connie continued to travel with family during her later years, including to both Washington DC (2019) and Cincinnati (2023) to attend granddaughters’ weddings. Connie was also an active member of the Ft. Wayne Gadabouts travel club where she made many lifelong friends. She loved to spend hours and hours with friends eating out, playing cards and dominos, volunteering for the church, and drinking coffee at Hardees, McDonalds & Panera to catch up on the latest happenings in Ft. Wayne.
Connie is survived by her children, Paul (Maria) Viterisi of Bloomington, IN; John (Trina) Viterisi of Zionsville, IN; Diane (Scott) Jones of McCordsville, IN; sister, Antoinette Dunn of Naples, FL; sister-in-law Ann Russo of Addison, IL; grandchildren, Paul Nicholas (Britta) Viterisi; Anna (Tyler) Hearne; Nina (Caleb) Everett; Mara Viterisi; Alexandra Viterisi; Elizabeth Viterisi; Adrienne (Matthew) Shannon; Marissa Bruce; step-grandchildren, Chris (Kitt) Jones; Nicole (Nick) Gombash; great-grandchildren, Evelyn & Isabella Viterisi, Wells & Isla Shannon, and 3 soon-to-be-born Zoe Viterisi, Dominic Everett and baby boy Shannon.
Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Domenick (1997), her eldest son, Peter (2001), and her brother, Pete Russo (2023).
Visitation with family will start at 11:30 until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at D.O. McComb and Sons - Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN. Committal and burial following at Fort Wayne Catholic Cemetery.
