Cynthia C. Smith, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Born on March 5, 1948, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Allen J. and Mary Ellen (Murphy) Smith Jr. She was a 1966 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Fort Wayne, and earned her degree at International Business College in 1968. She worked as a trainer of Easter Seals ARC. Cindy was a member of the League for the Blind and Workers for the Blind; she was also a board member for the Workers for the Blind.
She is survived by her brother, Douglas Smith; nieces and nephews; Russel Smith, Rhonda Smith, Heath Smith, Bradly Smith, Laura Smith, Damon Smith, and Jason Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Allen J. Smith and Kevin T. Smith along with nephew, James Smith.
A Celebration of Cynthia’s Life will be held from Noon to 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2023, at The League for the Blind, 5821 South Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to The League or Workers for the Blind.
