

Dale “Butch” Olinske, 80, passed away on Friday May 26,2023 at Lutheran Hospital after a long 4-year battle of chronic illnesses. He was born in Fort Wayne on July 21, 1942, to the late Walter and Gladys Olinske. He was a 1961 graduate of Central High School. He worked several years at 7up Bottling Company and at Don Halls Gas House for 25 years.
“Butch” was an avid Dodgers fan. He was also a long time North Side High School sports fan. He loved reminiscing about his childhood, listening to games on his radio, painting, reading, taking his daily walks and spending time with his family. He devoted much of his life to help raise his nieces and nephews over the years. Surviving are his brothers Gary and Larry Olinske; nephew John McDonnell; niece Anita McDonnell; great nephew Trayden Pernell; great nieces Shania (Alijah) Pernell, Ari Pernell, and Lillie Crews; great-great nephew Kyrian Pernell; great-great niece Layklyn Long. Preceding him in death are his sister Sandra McDonnell; special nephew Ricky Lewis; and a great-great nephew. He was also preceded in death by his beloved dog Duchess. Private family services. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
