He married Laura (Alspaugh) on June 8, 1996 and she survives. He worked for DTF for more than 20 years. He also worked for Country Kitchen Products for six years. Dan was a proud volunteer firefighter for Perry Township. He enjoyed going to car shows and the Fort Wayne Komets hockey games. Dan also liked going with his daughter to horse shows. Surviving are his daughter, Danielle Thompson; cousin, Vicki (Phil) Davis; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Pat Alspaugh.
Funeral service will be held at 5:00pm, Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home (1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne), with visitation from 3:00pm to 5:00pm prior to the service.
Memorial donations in Dan's honor may be made to the family for Danielle's college education.
