David L. Peden

David L. Peden, 83, passed away on January 6, 2020. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 10, 1936 the son of the late Cloyce and Ruth Peden. David graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1954 he then obtained an Associates Degree from International Business College in 1958. David served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for three years being honorably discharged in July of 1962. He worked at International Harvester/Navistar for 32 years until his retirement in 1992. David was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. David enjoyed music, motorcycles and tinkering in the garage. He will be remembered as a cherished and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Barbara Peden; children, Teena (John) Humphrey, Tracy (Michael) Peden-Hoeft, and Trent (Diana) Peden; grandchildren, Kimberly Milewski, Heather (Christopher) Schillinger, Bailee (Skyler) King, Jansen Humphrey, Hunter Peden, and Todd Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Allie Justice, Cooper Schillinger, and Evelynn Peden; siblings, Vivian (Jack) Miller, Nancy Peden, Sharon Talerico, and Suzanne (David) Stocksdale. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Peden; brother, Thomas Peden; brothers-in-law, Donald Suelzer and Jim Talerico; and sister-in-law, Cindy Brantley. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at D.O.McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017, Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
