Dean was talented in many ways, always willing to help others. He taught for two years in Michigan, and he spent 37 years as a teacher of Industrial Arts and Computer Technology in Michigan and EACS in Indiana. Woodworking was a special joy he shared with his Three River Woodworkers in Huntertown, Indiana. He and Marilyn loved traveling and spending time at Lake James, Florida and Michigan.
He is survived by his brother, Richard (Dollie) Ray of Louisville, KY; a sister, Kathy (Jim) Eggleston of Elkhart; and many nieces and nephews who loved him as well as wonderful friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Esther Katherine and Karl Edwin Ray.
A Memorial Gathering will be on May 17, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46815, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
