Deborah Marie Burtnett

She was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School and obtained an Associate Degree in Data Processing from IPFW.

Deborah worked as a Lead Analyst for Phillips Electronics for over 24 years. She later worked at Parkview Health as a Payroll Analyst and PeopleSoft Project Planner for 15 years.

She enjoyed traveling, with the opportunity to travel many places for work, and with her boys on vacations. She will be most remembered for her charismatic personality and silly sense of humor. As well as her love of chocolate, singing, nature, and God. She loved Star Trek, the Hallmark channel and her animal print clothing and décor.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.

Her parents Arnold Benecke and Georjean Benecke both preceded her in death.

Surviving are her two sons, Ryan Burtnett and Robert Burtnett; step-daughter, Dawn Barrett; brother, Arnold (Sharon) Benecke; and two grandchildren, Kahlea Shook and Elliana Burtnett; along with other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Deborah will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakes, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 am. An entombment will occur at Concordia Gardens Cemetery, 5365 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
