Deborah K. (Foltz) Stasko, 60, lovingly known as “Gigi”, was called home on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Fort Wayne, IN, after a 7-year battle with bile duct cancer. She was born June 13, 1961, in Decatur, IN, the daughter of the late Arthur and Shirley Foltz.
Gigi met her new love, Thomas Stasko, and was remarried in 2000. Together they raised a blended family with four daughters. She retired at an early age of 47, from Verizon, where she had worked for 29 years. Gigi was blessed to have 13 years of retirement and able to enjoy many vacations, with her family and friends. She was a member of, and volunteered at, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and worked in the office for a short time. Gigi loved spending time with her grandchildren, and went to all their sporting events. She especially loved fishing with them whenever possible. She faced her challenges with grace, a brave smile, strong will, and was ready to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Gigi gained much strength in her faith through Bible study, where she connected with many faithful followers, which helped her with her journey. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Stasko, of New Haven, IN; daughter, Erin (Matthew) Houk, Lisa (Timothy) Hebble, both of Decatur, IN, Julie (Matt Toler) Stasko of Fort Wayne, IN, Jenny (Jud) Padgett of Spencer; sister, Lori Wagner of Fort Wayne, IN; and 10 grandchildren, Hunter, Grant, Colson, Brody, Kellan, Tinlee, Ella, Eden, Katie and Ryan.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd. Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also take place from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, March 28, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne.
