Dennis Wayne Fitzgerald

Dennis W. Fitzgerald, age 61, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born September 28, 1962 to late Dale and Hanne Fitzgerald. Dennis had a passion for the culinary arts, and enjoyed success as a chef in many renowned establishments in the Greater Fort Wayne area. Using the knowledge he acquired through his kitchen experience, he transitioned into food sales. During his 20+ year tenure with Gordon Food Service, he received numerous awards as one of the leading sales representatives in the tri-state area, until his retirement in July 2024. Dennis was a devoted and dedicated family man, being the center stone of the Fitzgerald family. His generous soul never went unnoticed, as he was one to donate to anyone in need, along with many charitable organizations. Dennis is survived by his brother, David Fitzgerald; son, Dustin (Samantha) Fitzgerald; daughter, Zoe Fitzgerald; and granddaughters, Hayden, Felicity, Maliah, Athena, and Layla. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Michelle Fitzgerald. In accordance with Dennis’ wishes, there will not be a service, as that is not how he wished to be remembered. What he requested was a celebration of life, which will be held on his birthday, September 28, 2024.
