Desmond E. Crumpacker, 42, of Fort Wayne passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on March 8, 1979 in Fayetteville, North Carolina at Fort Bragg Hospital. He worked at a few local car dealerships in both sales and finance. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, boxing, and racing, debating politics, being in nature, spending time with friends and family and studying history. Surviving family includes his daughters, Arianna, Kaitlyn, and Emily; father, Dwight Crumpacker; mother, Maureen (George) Copeland; grandmothers, Mary Lindeman, Marvel Crumpacker, and Phyllis Purcell; siblings, Eric (Anne) Mullenax, Derrick Crumpacker, Tyler (Jennifer) Crumpacker, Zack Rahman, Sean (Andrea) Crumpacker and Shane Crumpacker; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his grandfathers, Donald Crumpacker and Carl Lindeman. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne with the funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow directly after at Lindenwood Cemetery. The family requests memorial tributes be directed to Desmond’s funeral fund to assist with final expenses.
