Dixie S. Warner

Dixie S. Warner, age 87, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Dixie was born April 28, 1934 to the late Anderson and Nettie Irene (Silvers) Warner. She retired from Seyfert's Potato Chips in 1999 and previously from General Electric. Dixie was a generous soul, with a sharp wit, and ornery streak who loved all of her girls and grandchildren. She had a soft spot for animals, feeding the birds and caring for strays. Dixie is survived by her daughters, Debbie Dierkes, Joni (Dave) Scheppele, Linda (Ron) Wylds, Peggy Richerson, Kim Bay, Tamara Glass, and Heidi (Chris) Caccamo; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Utter; half-sisters, Jane Honeysuckle, Jean Sovern, and Doris Cook; half-brothers, Dale Warner and William Anderson and beloved dog, Chico. Dixie was predeceased by her daughter, Dawn Renee Evilsizer; great-granddaughter, Averyanna Calvert; sisters, Bonnie Moore, and Sharon Greis; brother, Rene Warner; half-brothers, John Warner and David Warner. Funeral Services will be held for Dixie on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Mungovan, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802, with visitation one hour prior.
