Donald R. Clifford

Donald R. Clifford, 87, a longtime Fort Wayne native passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was born on February 15, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois, a son of the late Ralph and Gladys (Coffey) Clifford. He worked as an attorney in Fort Wayne for nearly 50 years. He was a member at St. Therese Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, Allen County Bar Association, the State of Indiana Bar Association, and the Back 40 Flying Club. Over the last 4 years, he was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceville, Georgia, and became a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, flying, and reading. Surviving family include his daughters, Maureen Cordes, Sara Clifford, and Megan Krejci; sons, Michael (Jenine) and Tim Clifford; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Margaret Clifford; and a son, Peter Clifford. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church or St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 319 Grayson Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
