Donna J. Harris

Donna J. Harris, 95 passed away Thursday December 23, 2021 at Cedar Ridge of Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on January 15, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Fred and Camille Smith. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and worked at Parkview Hospital, VA Hospital and Millers Merry Manor. Donna also volunteered at the American Red Cross, Hospice, Miss Virginia Food Bank, Matthew 25, and was a reader for the blind. She was very active with various theater productions, earning her Anthony Award for her role as Mrs. Duboise, in the play “To Kill a Mocking Bird”.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Ray) Strater Fort Wayne, IN; Cathy Brunson of Cicero, IN; 4 grandchildren, Julie (Ryan) McComb Fort Wayne, IN; Jennifer (Gary) Meese of Noblesville, Patrick (Chrissy) Grice of Ridgeville, IN; Holly (Ihssan) El Haouari of Noblesville, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband George Harris, grandsons, Chris McComb, Jeff McComb, Troy Biberstine.
