Dorothy M. Lawrence

Dorothy M. Lawrence, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her residence. She was born to the late Fred and Marie Kayser on March 9, 1923, in Fort Wayne. Dorothy was a life-long member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. She enjoyed travelling, playing bridge, and going to casinos and playing black jack and dice. Dorothy retired as a beautician after several years. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 71 years, Moe Lawrence; son-in-law, Jim Pittner; one nephew; and four nieces. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Hillman; daughter, Jean Pittner; and sister, Evelyn Bellis. Funeral service will be on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Klaehn, Fahl &Melton Funeral Home (420 W. Wayne Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802) with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity English Lutheran Church.
