

born in South Rockwood, Michigan.
She married Eldon L. Richman on March 21, 1952, in Montezuma, Iowa. They live there and
started their family, later moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana. She worked at the Belmont Stores for
many years. Jean loved playing cards, games, puzzles, bowling, reading, camping, family
genealogy, traveling with family and special friends Paul and Correen Walmsley and spending
hours visiting her brother Jack on his porch at Lake Ponderosa, Iowa.
She is survived by her children, Craig (Mary) Richman, Curt (Jennifer) Richman both of Fort
Wayne, IN; Teri Coe of Scott County, Tennessee and Phil Richman of Riverside, Iowa; 7
grandchildren, Stephanie, Brian, Victoria, James, Molly, Nathaniel, Chris, 10 great grandchildren,
Gracie, Lily, Preston, Adelei, Everly, Layla, Lennox, Jaden, Jazzy, and Josh, brothers, Bill (Sharon)
Peak of Iowa City, Iowa and Jack Peak of Montezuma, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Eldon Richma in 2008, parents
James Peak, Oatley (Williams) Martin and stepfather, Bill Martin, brother, James Peak, sister
Annie Bacon, son-in-law, Charles Coe and many brothers and sisters-in law and many nieces and
nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at D.O McComb and Sons
Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour
prior. Visitation also from 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Private burial
in Jackson Township Cemetery, Montezuma, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services
of Northeast Indiana.
