

Duane was born on July 5, 1949, in Viroqua, Wisconsin to Donald and Margery (Thompson) Green. He graduated from Viroqua Senior High School in 1968. Duane proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, for four years, during the Vietnam Conflict.
Duane dedicated much of his life to his career at General Motors, where he worked for 44 years before retiring in 2016. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment throughout his long career. Outside of work, Duane enjoyed attending all kinds of sporting events and was an avid fan of the Fort Wayne Komets, holding season tickets for more than 35 years, the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers. He also loved spending time working in his yard, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, racing his corvettes and evening pontoon rides at the lake and most importantly, being with his family. Duane was always willing to lend a helping hand and was more than happy to help anyone who needed it.
Duane was a proud and devoted grandfather to four grandsons who meant the world to him and loved him dearly. He will always be remembered for his morality, kindness, generosity, humor and the deep love he had for his family.
Duane is survived by his loving wife, Jacalyn (Scott) Green; his children, Matthew Patterson (Jamie) and Ashley Seitz (Andrew); his beloved grandchildren, Alton Patterson, Dylan Seitz, Camden Seitz and Cooper Seitz; his sister, Pamela Hartwig (Russ) of Fort Atkinson, WI.; and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, Jack and Lois Scott; his nieces, Michelle Turnipseed and Natasha Scott; his nephews, Scott Glenn and Shawn Glenn.
Duane’s family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. His kindness, laughter and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Per Duane’s request, there will be no service at this time. The family will be holding a celebration of life in his honor which will take place at a later date.
