Earnest "Don" Donavan Coy

Earnest "Don" Donavan Coy, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020. He was born to the late Earnest and Mabel (Caskey) Coy in Kosciusko County, IN on August 18, 1940. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Fellowship Missionary Church for 25 years. He worked for Norfolk and Western as a Locomotion Engineer. He enjoyed woodworking, singing with his guitar, writing songs, writing poems, and fishing. His family and spending time with them was most important to him. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Coy; children, Tammy (Dennis) Kuhn, Penny (Brent) Hook, Bradley (Judy) Coy and Amy (Eric) Gustin; 28 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two on the way; and siblings, Sara (Larry) Marr, Nancy Ropp, and Frederick Coy. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Funeral service will be on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home (6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804) with visitation beginning at 11:30 am until the time of service. Funeral service will be Facebook Livestreamed via the Greenlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum's Facebook Page. Burial will follow the service to Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
