

Edward Alberding, 81, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Ed worked as the Vice President/Sales Manager with National Oil and Gas for 55 years. Ed was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He was a member of Knights of Columbus of Fort Wayne and St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. Ed loved fishing and playing golf. He was an avid Chicago sports fan. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Rochelle Alberding of Fort Wayne; sons, Brian Alberding and Barry (Melanie) Alberding both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Jenny Alday of Fort Wayne and Jill (Mark) Foreman of Minneapolis, MN; step-sons, Darren Freshour and Derrick Freshour both of Elkhart and Daniel Freshour of Fort Wayne, IN; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Deb (John) Carlin of Fort Wayne, Gary (Candi) Alberding of MA, Tim (Deb) Alberding, Sandy Wysong of Columbia City, and SaDonna (Tom) Wickliffe of Muncie, IN. Ed was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Alberding; brother, Tom Alberding; sister, Jackie Chapla; father, Edward Alberding; and mother, Helen Alberding. Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with Father Jonathan Norton officiating with an hour of calling prior to Mass. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Monday, October 23, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
