Edward L. Goodwin, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Parkview Hospital. He was born May 23, 1933 in Richmond, IN and was a US Army Veteran. He was in the banking business for 18 years and insurance sales for 10 years. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the American Legion Post 296 and lifetime member of VFW. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon E. Goodwin, of Fort Wayne; son, Lew (Amy) Goodwin, of Fort Wayne; daughters, Lisa Gressley, of Southfield, MI and Karen (John) Bercot, of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Savannah Gressley, Michael, Joseph and Sarah Goodwin and Dan, Elizabeth and Rachael Bercot. Funeral Service is 11:30 am Monday, October 3, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior. Fr. Tony Steinacker officiating. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
