

Elaine M. Hinton, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday May 27, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fort Wayne she was a daughter of the late Norman and Margaret Fox. Elaine was a member of the Fort Wayne Turners, and worked as a Floral designer at Armstrong Flowers. Elaine loved all whom she met, she had a special love for her entire family, and enjoyed watching their accomplishments. Elaine loved family get-togethers and holidays. She will be remembered for her big heart and a very giving spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Hinton; children, Cheryl (Kelly) Shively, Mark Allen McCray, Andrew P. (Ruthie) McCray, Joellen Moran, and Matthew (Candi) Hinton; sister, Norma; brother Sammy Fox; 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren (with one on the way); son-in-law, Tim Walter; sisters-in-law, Sandra Fox, Jean Heller, and Carolyn A. Fox. She was also preceded in death by her children, David W. McCray, and Lori A. Walter; grandson, Alex Moran; son-in-law, John Moran III; and siblings, Ted, Richard, Wayne, and Carolyn.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Saturday June 1, at Greenlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 1to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday May 31, at the funeral home, burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be given to the Athletic departments of her grandchildren’s high schools.
