Gary Brown

Gary Brown, 70, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born on September 5, 1950 in Marion, Indiana, son of the late James and Betty (Langer) Brown. He worked for the Fort Wayne Fire Department for 24 years before retiring. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard for 20 years. In 1983, he was a founding member of the local Make-A-Wish Foundation which later became Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana. Surviving family include his wife, Terra Brown; children, Brett Brown, Michael (Kirsten) Brown, and Krista VanArman; grandchildren, Haley, Tristen, Bailey, Chase, Aviana; brother, Ronald (Marsha) Brown and Richard (Bobbi) Brown; and sister, Gloria Merrill; and his beloved pet, Tanner. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana. A private family burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
