Gene Alan Gumbert, 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013. He was born on May 24, 1939 to the late Martin and Beulah (McClain) Gumbert. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1965. He was a self-employed roofer. Surviving family include his sons, Martin Gumbert and Bill (Patricia) Gumbert; brother, Jack Gumbert; 3 grandchildren, Shayla, Cody, and Brent. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jerry and Daniel Gumbert. A memorial service will be at a later date.
