Gene Dewayne Edwards Rollins

Gene was truly beloved—our “Superman”—and will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother, and son. He found deep comfort in time spent with family and in the quiet steadiness of the outdoors, where nature was his sanctuary. Gene especially enjoyed fishing, and he brought laughter to those around him as a spirited prankster, always joking and messing around with his brothers and friends. Above all, Gene’s pride and joy were his children, Kade and Delilah, and the family he cherished.

Gene is survived by his wife, Jacie Rollins of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Delilah Davis, of Fort Wayne Indiana; son, Kade Woodward, (Twila Levings) of Auburn, Indiana; mother, Diana Collins of Albion, Indiana; father, David Rollins of Smithville, Tennessee; brothers, Corey (Mollie) Kline of Garrett, Indiana, Johnathan (Sarah) Kline of Auburn, Indiana and Dalton (Justice) Sheets of Albion, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father figure, Donald Dapp and grandfather-in-law, Terry Davis Sr.

Visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on April 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location on April 26, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
