Geneva L. Hudson

Geneva L. Hudson, 100, of Fort Wayne, passed away on June 13, 2018. Born on August 29, 1917, in Millport, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late, John W. and Alma Mae (Johnson) Newell. She is survived by her children, Phillip (Beverly) Hudson, of Fort Wayne, Nancy (Herbert) Anders, of Port Charlotte, Florida; son-in-law, Thomas Thieme, of Loudonville, Ohio; brother, JW Newell, of Columbus, Mississippi; sisters, Mary Cole, of Columbus, Mississippi, and Floy Beard, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip B. Hudson Sr; daughter, Bettye Thieme; brothers, Ervin, James, and Fred; sisters, Jeanette, and Willie Mae; two half-brothers, and two half-sisters. Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Friday, June 15, at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11:30am, until time of service. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Heart to Heart Hospice, 7221 Engle Road Ste#100, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
