Gerald Wayne Newport, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on August 22, 2025. Gerald was the son of Frank and Geraldine Newport. He attended Queen of Angels and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1959. Gerald was associated with the typesetting and printing business. In later years he worked security for Allen County.
He was married and is survived by Carolyn Sue Newport, wife of 33 years. He is survived by son Daniel (Erin) Newport and daughter Amy Lewis, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother Jim Newport and sister-in-law Mary Lou Newport. He was preceded in death by brother Bob (Louann) Newport, sister Betty (Dave) Mullin, and brother Tom and sister-in-law Elaine Newport.
