Gertrude (Miller) Andorfer, 98, of Ossian, died Thursday, December 16, 2010. She was a life-long resident of the Allen-Wells County area. She was an active member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church where she played organ for 25 years and over many years, served on numerous boards and organizations. She was active in her community and was employed outside the home from 1961-1971 by the Allen County License Bureau. She is preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Andorfer and her daughter, Carol Herman.
She is survived by her children, Michael Andorfer of Leicester, NC, John Andorfer of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Andorfer of Bellevue, OH, Beth Standiford of St. Peters, MO, and Daniel Andorfer of Rome City, IN, 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Road, Yoder, IN with prayers being recited at 9:20 A.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Calling is at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
