

Gladys Mae (White) Vigneaux, 90, passed away April 8, 2025, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on November 7, 1934, in Sault Ste. Marie MI, the daughter of the late Webie and Ella White. Gladys graduated from Sault Ste. Marie High School in 1952. She worked as a stenographer for Metropolitan Life in Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Fort Wayne, IN.
Her memberships included Aboite Missionary Church and more recently a member of Dunfee Missionary Church. She was also a member of the Home Economics Club in Fort Wayne. Gladys participated in numerous bible study groups, had extensive domestic and international travel, enjoyed camping, and loved spending time with her family. She was a skilled seamstress and made her daughter’s wedding dress. Gladys was also a fabulous and avid baker. She loved caring for her many pets over the years, especially Samuel Daniel.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Homer Vigneaux of Fort Wayne, IN; children: Sandy (Steve) Lengerich of Brownsburg, IN; Nancy Carbaugh of Hastings, NE; Cathy (Dave) Edsall of Fort Wayne, IN; Lisa (Ted) Storer of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren: Angie, Chris, Ben, Jason, Alissa, Adam, Landon, Abby and Tessa; great-grandchildren: James, Leida, Ryley, Liz, William, Michael, Jayden, Brodey, and Eli; sister: Violet Demitropoulos; sister-in-law: Augustina Trombley; and brother-in-law: John Biddle. Gladys was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gerry Carbaugh, and grandson, Jonathon Carbaugh.
A private service will be held.
