Hartley H Hyder

HARTLEY H. HYDER, 66, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Hospice Home. Born in Johnson City, Tenn., he lived most of his life in Fort Wayne. He work ed and retired as the President of Walter Industries. He was a member of the Chapel and also enjoyed coaching and watching youth sports. "Hartley was devoted husband, father, and grandfather." He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cherylyn; three sons, Craig (Tracy) Hyder, Todd (Maryann) Hyder and Scott (Kelly) Hyder; grandchildren, Jason, Whitney, Cayley, Rachel, Ellyana, and Brody; step grandchildren, Ashleigh, Morgan, Brooke, and Jordon; mother, Sylvia Distel; two brothers, Ed and Tom Hyder; in-laws, Richard and Jean Fehling; and his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his father, Hartley H. Hyder Sr.; and grandson, Mitchell. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 2013, at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road, with calling one hour prior the service. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6750 Covington Road.
