Helen May Geyer

Helen May Geyer, 98, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Canterbury Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born May 2, 1924, in North Liberty, Indiana, the daughter of the late Russell C. and Iva Fair. Helen was a Cafeteria Manager with Fort Wayne Community Schools for 26 years and retired in 1990. She also worked at Singer Sewing for four years. Helen's greatest passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Julia) Geyer of Fort Wayne, IN; Gene C. (Dianne) Geyer of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Geyer; daughter, Margaret S. Geyer; sisters, Ruth Boyd and Jeanne Humphries. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also take place from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
