Henri R. Evans, 82, passed away in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Monday, May 12, 2025. Henri was born in Portland, Indiana, on September 27, 1942, to parents Robert B. and Maxene (Roshon) Evans. Henri was a proud 1964 graduate from Purdue University. He actively stayed involved in his school, serving as a former president for the Purdue Alumni Band. Education held a special place in Henri’s heart as he went on to teach at Montpelier High School and coached their football team. Eventually, he would move to Jacksonville, Florida, and lived there for many years with his wife, Vicki. Henri was an avid Buick collector, and greatly enjoyed driving his cars back and forth from Hartford City to Jacksonville. Henri is survived by his brother, Eric Evans; nephew, Thadd (Brittany) Evans; and niece, Elizabeth Sherrow. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vicki S. (Savage) Evans; and parents, Robert B. Evans and Maxene (Roshon) Evans. There are no services scheduled at this time. Henri will be forever be remembered by those who loved him.
