

Henry R. “Bud” Schuhler, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011. He was born on October 20, 1930 in Allen County to the late Sylvester “Jeff” and Alma (Harber) Schuhler. He retired in 1994 from BF Goodrich. He was a member at St. Therese Catholic Church and VFW 1421 after serving in the Korean War where he was a survivor of Outpost Harry. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Surviving family include his children, Joe (Carol) Schuhler of Danville, IN, Rob Schuhler of Ft. Wayne, Kevin (Lisa) Schuhler of Fayetteville, GA, Maria (Dan) Elder of Ossian; siblings, Mary DiCola, Joe Schuhler, Elizabeth “Betty” Filloff, Dorothy VanAuken; grandchildren, Zach, Emily, Elise, Luke, Grace, Jeremy, and Lauren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara “Barb” Schuhler and a sister, Helen Schuhler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Ft. Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Viewing hours will also be from 4-8 pm on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Ft. Wayne. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Masses.
