Jack Lee Reader

JACKIE "JACK" LEE READER JR., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 7, 2016. Born Jan. 26, 1953, he was a son of Jackie Lee Reader Sr. and Mary Josephine Smith. Jack was a graduate of Northside High School. He was married on March 8, 2003 to Nancy Jean Morris-Reader. For him it would be an anniversary in Heaven. They spent their married life in Fort Wayne. Jack volunteered in the Fort Wayne Police Reserves. He was a captain from December 2007 thru 2009; when he retired. He had been a sergeant and an officer for 25 years. Surviving are his wife of nearly 13 years, Nancy Jean Morris-Reader; brothers, Mike (Rita), Steve (Renee) and Larry (Marilou), all of Fort Wayne; sisters, Rhonda Minnich-Hernandez (Joe), and Cindy, both of Fort Wayne; seven nephews, two nieces, many great nieces and great nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Service is 10 am Thursday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
