
Jack Weirick, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Born on January 19, 1933, in Etna Green, Indiana, to parents Donald and Helen (Mellot) Weirick, Jack was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He attended both South Side and North Side High School, and later earned some college credits. His career was spent with Kunkle Valve Industries in which he dedicated 35 years of service repairing machines. Jack practiced his faith as a member of First Assembly of God.
Jack had a natural talent of tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. Whether it was fixing something around the house, or working on a personal project, Jack was always expanding his innovative mind. At a younger age, he enjoyed expressing his creativity through drawing. Jack loved his family first and foremost. Always lending a helping hand, a warm smile, and support, Jack took care of the people he loved.
Jack is survived by his son, Kent (Angela) Weirick; grandchildren, Josh (Keisha) Suarez, Toni (Brick) Ehman; step-grandchildren, Chelsie (Brandon) Krontz, Haley (Caleb) Herber, Sarah Rauch; and great-grandchildren Elise Suarez, Dominick Suarez, Violet Suarez, Brisa Ehman, and Rook Ehman.
Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Pepple) Weirick; children, Dave Weirick, Debbie Suarez, Dawn Weirick; parents, Donald and Helen Weirick; and sister, Audrey Mellot.
Private services will be held for Jack. He will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memories and condolences may be made at advantagehighlandpark.com.
