James H. Nott

James H. Nott, 95, passed away from natural causes Saturday, May 16, 2020, at The Cedars, Leo, Indiana. He was the son of the late Charles and Carrie (Vogel) Nott. He was born December 27, 1924, in St. Mary’s, Ohio. He served as a Fireman First Class in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Zollner Piston as an inspector, Ft Wayne, Indiana, in 1988 after 25 years of service. He was a member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include sons Gregory J. (Tami) Nott, Carr, CO and Philip J. (Karina) Nott, Spotsylvania, VA; sister Barbara Shepherd, Jenison, MI; grandchildren Graham Nott, Carr, CO, Andrew Nott, Longmont, CO, Lisa (Jerry) Vice-Davitch, Fairfax, VA, A.J. (Stephanie) Vice, Richmond, VA, Angie (Bob) Dillner, Concord, NC, Taylor (Andrea) Vice, Fayetteville, NC, and Teresa (Adam) Vice-Moore, Crozet, VA; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Meredyth L. Nott; four sisters, Norma Rakowsky, Lima, OH, Alice Miller, Columbus, OH, Mary Thompson, Dayton, OH, Nina Nott, St. Mary’s, OH. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene 8611 Mayhew Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835, with Rev. Rex Person, officiating.
