Janeen Simmons

Janeen Simmons was born to Alice Mae and James E. Simmons in Fort Wayne, IN on October 13, 1949. Janeen received her Heavenly Wings and went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 7, 2022.

Janeen graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne Indiana. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services. Janeen had fifty years of service in the field of social work. She began her professional career as a social worker with the Allen County Department of Family Resources with twenty years of service and held various positions during her tenure.

She joined ClaimAid in November of 1992 and remained employed there as a Patient Resource Advocate until her recent passing with thirty years of service. Janeen was very passionate about her work with ClaimAid and went above and beyond the call when she provided services.

Janeen was a faithful member of the New Covenant Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Luther Whitfield.
