Janet was born December 22, 1942, in Auburn, Ind., to the late Harold and Vera Walters. She was a sign language interpreter for FWCS for 22 years, Elmhurst and Snider High Schools, and was a strong advocate for the use of sign language in the school system. She also worked for Anthony Wayne Services providing respite care for many clients.
She would tell you that her greatest accomplishment in life was her four children, Jim (Chrissy) Foreman, Matt (Sabrina) Foreman, Keith (Melody) Foreman and Kris (Don) Behringer, along with her 11 grandchildren, Austin Foreman, Zachary Foreman, Madison Foreman, Joel Foreman, Allison Foreman, Cole Foreman, Kayla Foreman, Jake Behringer, Jana Behringer, Luke Behringer, Molly Behringer, and Michael (Keri) Davison; and three great-grandchildren, Theo, Justice and Charlie, all who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia (Tom) Simons; and sister-in-law, Patty Walters. Janet was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Wurm and LaVera Walters; and brothers, Keith Walters and R.L. Walters.
Due to the global pandemic, all services will be private. There will be a celebration of life service held at a later date.
