Janice Ann McMaken, 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023.

Janice was born on January 9, 1940, to the late Walter and Mary Geraldine (Blust) McMaken in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Janice was a retiree of the City of Fort Wayne Water Department. She loved fishing with her late daughter, Sunday Lynn, and never passed up the opportunity to travel with her family.

Janice’s family will remember her for her kindness and generosity. She would often do anything she could to help a family member in need. Though she will be greatly missed, they rejoice in knowing she has joined beloved family already passed. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Geraldine, her daughter, Sunday Stacey, her sisters, Phyllis Archer and Barbara Baumgartner, niece, Diane Garriott, and nephew, Robert Archer. She is survived by her brother Charles (Theresa) McMaken, nephew, William (Cheryl) Archer, nieces, Jean (Jan) Ford, and Karen Knotts. She also leaves behind two grand nephews, five grand nieces, two great grand nephews, three great grand nieces and two great great grand nephews.
