

JaQuan “Quan” Martez Ganaway was born on January 3, 1993, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Felicia Ganaway and Donald Trice Sr. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at an early age of 33, at home with his family.
JaQuan was a determined young man. Beating the odds placed against him, he became a 2011 graduate of R. Nelson Snider High School.
He was an amazing father of three, who took pride in caring for his children. With a passion for learning, he was always reading and googling information.
Quan loved watching football and had high hopes for his favorite team, the New England Patriots, in the Superbowl.
In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and video gaming with his son, brother and friends. Chef Quan R’D, as he was called when grilling, loved to BBQ.
He was “Baby Brother in age...but BIG Brother in Heart.”
JaQuan was preceded in death by his parents, Felicia Ganaway and Donald Trice Sr. and his grandparents.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory; his loving companion and mother of his children, TeAria Woods; three amazing children, JaQuell, JaNyia and JaNayla Ganaway-Woods all of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Gracie Ganaway of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Allante Ganaway (Jasmine) of New Haven, IN and Israel Trice of Fort Wayne, IN; two special brothers, Derrick Rowland of Fort Wayne, IN and Joseph Rowland of Indianapolis, IN; three nephews, Marquan Ganaway of Phoenix, AZ and Az’rel and Zyaire Ganaway both of New Haven, IN ; two nieces, Avery Stabler and Chloe Ganaway both of New Haven, IN; five special close friends; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services for Quan will be held 11:30 am on Monday, February 23, 2026, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park located at 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN, 46805. A visitation will be held starting at 10:00 am until the time of service.
Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park following the service.
