Jerome Arnold Ruefer

Jerome Arnold Ruefer, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. He was born to the late Anthony and Angelia (Schebler) Ruefer on November 25, 1937 in Davenport, IA. On April 22, 1961 he married Delores Benton in Davenport Iowa. They shared 59 wonderful years. He was known as the gentle giant to his family who loved him dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and stock car racing with his son and grandsons. He especially enjoyed visits with his great grandchildren. He was a proud member of the United Association of Plumber's & Pipefitter's Local 25 for 62 years. Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Delores Ruefer of Fort Wayne; son' Jerry (Lisa) Ruefer of Fort Wayne; daughter, Tammy (Scott) Wolfram of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandsons, J.R. (Joelle) Ruefer of Roanoke, Indiana, Jake (Elizabeth) Ruefer of Roanoke, Indiana; great-granchildren, Jackson & Audrey Ruefer and Jacob Wall. He also has many nieces and nephews who he thought the world of. Private family funeral services. Jerome's final resting place is Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
