Joan D. Adamonis, 76, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014. She was born on September 12, 1937 in Fort Wayne to the late August and Susie (Pion) Stanger. She worked as a waitress at Nick & Vons' Rib Room for 30+ years. She will be remembered for her artistic abilities. Surviving family include her sons, John, Charles (Angie), and Kent (Darlene) Adamonis; siblings, Charlie Stanger and Marjorie (James) Keefer; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her siblings, Kenneth Stanger and Louise Powell. A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4-7 pm on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse.
