She was born on July 8, 1922, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was retired from International Harvester. Joan was a former member of the South Wayne United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School there, and was very active in her church. She was a current member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Kimmell Evans and her brother, Jack Babb.
Joan was a loving, caring Aunt and will be sadly missed by her niece and nephews. They are Steve Babb, Louisville, Kentucky; Michael Evans, Indianapolis, Indiana; Robley Evans, Perham, Minnesota; Gerald Evans, Louisville, Kentucky; Kathy Evans Simmonds, Bloomington, Indiana; and Ronald Evans, Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral Service is 10:00 am Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 6301 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 4-7 pm Friday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Calvary United Methodist Church.
