Joe Delarosa Jr.

Joe Delarosa Jr., 67, of Fort Wayne, was called home on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on May 9, 1954 in Franklin, Indiana to the late Jose and Julia (Pensanisa) Delarosa. Joe was united in marriage for 47 years to the Love of his Life, Mary Margaret Pitney, on May 19th, 1974. Joe worked as a Mortgage Banker for 19 years at Waterfield Mortgage and retired from Nationstar Mortgage in 2020. Joe was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne and rejoiced in serving alongside his wife in many of the ministries at Trinity. Joe enjoyed golfing and sharing a laugh with his many “Oaks” friends at “The 19th Hole.” Survivors include his wife, Mary; children Nick (Aliza) Delarosa and Michelle Delarosa; grandchildren, Jesus, Olivia, Jose, Pablo, Marcello, Devlin, and Inara; great-grandchild, Oralio; and siblings, Juanita Delarosa and Rudy Delarosa. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Saturday March 12th at 1:30 at Trinity UMC, 609 Putnam Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trinity UMC-Fort Wayne. Arrangements have been entrusted to C. M. Sloan and Sons, 1307 North Wells St., Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
