

John “Jack” Pobuk, 90, passed away Tuesday July 11, 2023 at his home in Kendallville, IN. He was born August 26, 1932 in Manhattan, NY, the son of Thomas and Helen Pobuk. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Jack was a U.S Army Vietnam Veteran and retired as a Colonel. He was a Mechanical Engineer with Raytheon and retired in 2000 with over 20 years of service. His memberships included the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Chapter 56, and American Legion Post 47. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kendallville and formerly of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Fort Wayne, IN.
He is survived by his sons, John (Roselt) Pobuk of Honolulu, HI; Tim (Donna) Pobuk of Gardner, MA; Scott (Barbara) Pobuk of Burton, OH; Ted Pobuk of Kendallville, IN; grandchildren, Sarah (Jason), Katie, John (Stephanie). Lori (Lee), Danitra, Christopher (Kali), Kathrynn (Tawn), Ciera, Spencer, Michael, Kathleen and 2 great granddaughters, Isabella and Kayleigh.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Kathryn Pobuk, and daughter, Elizabeth Liscomb.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday July 22, 2023 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday July 21, 2023 with a Rosary at 3:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN. Private Burial will be at Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery, Rindge, NH. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
