JOHN "JACK" EDWARD SHRINER, 84, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Aug. 8, 1930, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the Late Richard and Erma Shriner. John was a long time member of Colony Heights Church of Christ. He is survived by sons, Tim (Bev) Shriner, Steve (Nancy) Shriner, David (Julie) Shriner, Jim Shriner, and Jon (Andi) Shriner; daughter, Ann (Curt) Chivers; brother, Richard H. Shriner; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sally (White) Shriner, and his brother Dr. Philip O. Shriner Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Walter officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
