John E. Sutherland

John E. Sutherland, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation. John was born October 22, 1947 in Gary, Indiana, son to the late Ernest Sutherland and Dorothy Ormiston. John was a U. S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam, and then worked as a forklift driver for Carnation and Nestle. Surviving John are his son, Glen (Jessica) Sutherland of Churubusco; grandchildren, Nick Sutherland, Jordan (Ryan) Matteson, Tiffani Sutherland, Gabi Sutherland, Tabi (Ben) Marshall, and Jasper Kissinger; great grandchildren, Marlee and Remi Matteson; daughter-in-law, Tonya (Bob) Kissinger; brothers, Mike (Yvette) Sutherland, Jim (Kelly) Sutherland, Richard (Linda) Sutherland; and sisters, Linda Hampton and Sophia Paetz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Konstantina Sutherland in 2021, sons, John Sutherland and Tim Sutherland; and sister, Janice Mullins. Gathering and prayer will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809, followed by a graveside service at 10:30 am at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
