John graduated from Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee. After high school in 1958, John got an apprenticeship with Rex Chain Belt to become an electrician. John married his wife, Lou Ann in 1962. He then worked at Milwaukee Can Company. John then worked for General Motors in Janesville, WI. He relocated to Fort Wayne at General Motors, in 1986 where he later retired in 2005, after 33 years. After retirement John volunteered at Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store. He was also a volunteer at the Fort Wayne Society of St. Vincent De Paul since 2010.
John loved playing cards, bowling, and fishing. He also enjoyed working on cars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lou Ann; two sons, Edward Weber and Paul (Veronica) Weber; two grandsons, John and Michael Weber; sister-in-laws, Janet Enright and Diane Weber both of WI and Susan Weber of WA.
John was preceded in death by his son, Specialist James Weber; his parents, Hugo A. and Helen A. Weber; brothers, Richard and Thomas Weber; sister-in-law, Elaine Ritger; brother-in-laws, Kenneth Enright and Roman Ritger.
A visitation will be on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home - Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46807, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A rosary service will begin at 3:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM, at Saint Henry's Catholic Church, 2929 East Paulding Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46816, with one hour visitation prior to mass. Burial to follow at Catholic Cemetery.
