

JOYCE J. SHULER, 84, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Parkview Hospital. Born Nov. 30, 1930, she was a daughter of Orbrie and Gayetta Babcoke. She married Robert J. Shuler in 1947 and had three children. She had a 10 year battle with Alzheim-er's disease. She will be rememb-ered as living her life reflective to a quote by Muham-med Ali: "I'd like for them to say she took a few cups of love, she took one tablespoon of patience, teaspoon of generosity, one pint of kindness. She took one quart of laughter, one pinch of concern, and then, she mixed willlingness with happiness, she added lots of faith, and she stirred it up well, then she spreads it over her span of a lifetime, and she served it to each and every person she met." She is survived by her husband, Robert; and sons, Scott Shuler and Jim (Jan Easley) Todd; grandchildren, Cort (Lori) Shuler Jr., Brett Shuler, Jeremy Todd, Jarod Todd, Brittney Shuler, and Brandon Shuler; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Cort Shuler; and her parents. Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with a private family service to follow. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
