Julie Ann Elkins, age 65, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was born September 10, 1959 in St. Petersburg, FL. to the late Jerry and Nora (nee Vineske) Waters. Julie graduated from North Side High School and would spend a majority of her career with Parkview Health Network.
Julie was a high spirited, optimistic woman of fortitude and strength that had a profound faith and cherished her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had many passions and interests but loved watching Home Improvement and Crime Show television.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas (Anita) Elkins of Roanoke, Ind., Angela Elkins, and Kristina Elkins, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Madison, Owen, Alexis, Jeremy, Aiden, Emilyann, Reece, and Millie; great-granddaughter, Alayna; siblings, David (Debbie) Waters, Dennis Waters, Dean (Ladora) Waters, J.D. (Pam) Waters, Gaylen Waters, Rene Degitz, and Susan Waters; and many nieces and nephews. Julie was preceded in death by her former husband, George Elkins.
Funeral Service is 6:30 PM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park with calling beginning at 4 PM.
