Karlene Thorn, 69, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on May 1, 1956, a daughter of the late Leroy and Evelyn (Branning) Gerrard. Karlene worked at the Hostess outlet store for several years. She had a passion for watching movies and time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Most of all she was an avid animal lover.
Karlene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Brent Thorn; children, Shannen (Andy) Crow and Adam (Missy Chrismore) Thorn; grandchildren, Anivah, Kaeleigh, Myles, Ella, and Madison; and sisters, Gaylene Scott and Jolene McDonald. There will be no services at this time. Contributions in Karlene's memory may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
