

Kenneth W. Cordes, 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 1, 1930, he was an US Marine Corps Veteran and retired from Painters and Allied Trades Union as a dry wall specialist. He was the son of the late Fred and Rosa Cordes. He was an avid sports fan of Cleveland Indians and Purdue and was a backer of Bishop Luers High School sports. He also coached Little League at Sacred Heart. He was the best “grumpy gpa” in the whole world. Surviving are his children, Paula (Joby) Wilhauck, Kimberly Wall, Kent (Sharon) Cordes, Kurt (Monica) Cordes and Karl (Terri) Cordes; twenty four grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and brother, Jim (Jan) Cordes. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Cordes ; daughter, Kenda (Cordes) Beery; three grandchildren, Nathanial Cordes, Rudy Escobedo and Sam Wilhauck; and three brothers, Larry, Chuck and Fred Cordes. Funeral Service is 11:00am Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior.
